# X Location Checker — Privacy Policy

X Location Checker does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data.

- **What it reads:** the "account based in" country that X/Twitter publishes
  on its "About this account" pages, using your own logged-in X session. The
  extension talks only to X's own servers (x.com, twitter.com, abs.twimg.com)
  — the same requests the X web app itself makes.
- **What it stores:** resolved country names and your display preferences,
  saved locally in your browser (`chrome.storage.local` / `chrome.storage.sync`).
  Nothing leaves your browser except the requests to X described above.
- **What it does not do:** no analytics, no tracking, no external servers,
  no cookies of its own, no data sale or transfer to third parties.

Removing the extension deletes all stored data.
