# Support

Vorssaint is a free and open source project, looked after on a best effort basis. There is no support contract and no promised response time, though every issue and question gets read and appreciated.

Before you reach out, the [documentation](#documentation) below answers most of what comes up, and the [troubleshooting guide](docs/TROUBLESHOOTING.md) covers the usual fixes.

## Report a bug

Open the bug report form from the [new issue](https://github.com/vorssaint/vorssaint-utils/issues/new/choose) page. Please bring your Vorssaint version from Settings under About, your macOS version, and clear steps to reproduce. The notes on [reporting a useful bug](docs/TROUBLESHOOTING.md#reporting-a-useful-bug) spell out what helps.

## Request a feature

Open the feature request form from the same [new issue](https://github.com/vorssaint/vorssaint-utils/issues/new/choose) page. Describe the problem you want solved rather than only a specific solution, since that makes the need much clearer. You can also browse and back existing ideas in the [open issues](https://github.com/vorssaint/vorssaint-utils/issues).

## Report a security issue

Please keep security vulnerabilities out of public issues. The [security policy](SECURITY.md) explains how to share them privately.
