Steps
1 - Formatting
You do not need to format a hard drive for Puppy Linux to work. Only contemplate formatting a drive if you do not need any of the data on it.
2 - Frugal Install
Copy Puppy files to hard drive. This will install Puppy Linux files to your hard drive under a sub-folder at the top folder level (e.g. C:\fossapup)
3 - Grub2Config
Make hard drive bootable. By first scanning your hard drive(s), make a menu to pick which operating system to boot up (e.g. Windows, Puppy Linux,Ubuntu)
4 - Running Puppy in RAM
A menu option for running completely in RAM,without touching hard drives, was automatically made for you in the previous steps
5 - Saving your Session
When shutting down, and no savefile was being used, Puppy Linux will ask you if you would like to save all of your session information
(such as bookmarks, documents made, browser history). This "savefile" will automatically be loaded after rebooting
