# Code of Conduct

StateLayout contributors and maintainers are expected to make participation respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free.

## Expected behavior

- Be constructive and assume good intent.
- Focus criticism on ideas and code, not people.
- Respect differing experience levels and backgrounds.
- Protect private information shared during collaboration or security reporting.

## Unacceptable behavior

Harassment, discrimination, threats, sexualized attention, personal attacks, deliberate disruption, and publication of another person's private information are not tolerated.

## Enforcement

Report conduct concerns privately to the repository owner through their GitHub profile. Maintainers may edit or remove contributions, issue warnings, temporarily restrict participation, or permanently ban participants when necessary. Reports will be handled as confidentially as practical.

This policy applies in repository spaces and when representing the project in public spaces.
