# Upstream sync (maintainer guide) When [deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness](https://github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness) ships new UI strings, refresh the English corpus, translate the new keys, and rebuild the client bundle. ## 1. Get an up-to-date harness clone ```bash git clone https://github.com/deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness # or update an existing clone: cd deepseek-harness && git pull ``` ## 2. Run the extractor from inside the clone ```bash cd /path/to/deepseek-harness node /path/to/dsh-locale-ru/scripts/extract.mjs ``` The script reads the harness sources in the current working directory and regenerates `upstream/corpus.json` in your dsh-locale-ru checkout. Commit the refreshed corpus, noting which harness revision it was extracted from. ## 3. See what is missing ```bash node scripts/check.mjs ``` The coverage table shows, per namespace, which upstream keys have no Russian translation yet. ## 4. Translate the new keys Add the missing keys to the relevant `dict/ru/.json` files. Follow the format, placeholder, and style rules in [CONTRIBUTING.md](../CONTRIBUTING.md). ## 5. Rebuild and commit ```bash node scripts/build.mjs ``` Commit everything together: `upstream/corpus.json`, the updated `dict/ru/*.json`, and the rebuilt `lib/client.js`. ## 6. Optional: verify in a running UI Install the local checkout as a plugin and restart the web UI: ```bash dsh plugin --profile web add /path/to/dsh-locale-ru dsh web ``` Then spot-check the new strings in the interface.
