The **Serpentine Rebellion** is the earlier framing for the faction of
exiled creator-scientists, led by Lucifer, who defied Yahweh and the
Elohim government on Earth. The rebellion's armed culmination — the war
declared by the Elohim government against the Serpent — is now treated
under [Theomachy](/wiki/theomachy/), and the full sequence of events
(from Lucifer's defiance through the Tower of Babel to Sodom and
Gomorrah) lives there.

The two terms remain useful in different registers: "Serpentine
Rebellion" emphasizes the *faction and its acts of defiance*, while
"Theomachy" emphasizes the *cosmic war* that those acts provoked.
