# Issue #86 visual QA

Scope: theme-only implementation. The issue comment and DESIGN.md explicitly make the existing product the source of truth for layout, typography, control order and branding; prototype geometry is not a replacement specification.

Source visual truth: Issue #86 comment's workspace-light/workspace-dark/settings/connections previews; DESIGN.md alongside this report. Layout baseline: before-workspace.png and before-connections.png at commit 3c2cc14.
Implementation: workspace-light.png, workspace-dark.png, settings-light.png, settings-dark.png, connection-modal-dark.png, settings-narrow.png and workspace-narrow.png in this directory.
Viewport: desktop 1440×900 CSS px at 1×; 390×844 settings and 720×450 workspace for narrow checks. Individual source boards normalized to 1440×900 only for palette comparison. Combined comparisons are 2880×900, displayed at reduced size as necessary; detail-comparison.png is a 1× crop of the same baseline/implementation coordinates.
State: selected unstaged file in unified Diff, two staged files; fixture content differs from the designer's sample content. Dark screenshot includes an entered draft to test preservation. These content differences are intentional and not layout discrepancies.

Evidence: compare-before.png checks old vs new geometry; compare-design-dark.png checks dark palette; detail-comparison.png verifies exact text/line rhythm and Diff semantics. Screenshots were opened and visually inspected, not inferred from source alone.

Findings and fixes:
- P2: initial control border proposal fell below 3:1 on the light page/sidebar. Changed the strong border token to #77859C; measured palette test now passes on all three adjacent surfaces. Captures in this directory show the corrected border.
- Reviewed filled destructive action hover after token migration; it retains contrasting on-color on the danger background. Retains original destructive behavior.
- No remaining actionable P0/P1/P2 findings within the captured states. Cross-platform release acceptance remains pending as listed in Issue-86-Validation.md.

Required fidelity surfaces:
- Typography: existing fonts, sizes, line heights and truncation retained. Focused Diff crop preserves line rhythm.
- Layout/spacing: seven main bounding rectangles exactly equal to the real product baseline; tokenized radii and 8px gap retain previous values. Narrow settings has scrollWidth 390 at viewport 390; narrow workspace scrollWidth 720 at viewport 720.
- Colors/tokens: prescribed moonlight surface, code, primary and Git palettes match; input boundaries strengthened for accessibility. Text/status/Diff ≥4.5:1; focus/controls ≥3:1 for tested pairs.
- Assets: existing Alune avatar and operational icons retained; no replacement raster, generated logo or layout artwork introduced.
- Copy/content: existing application copy and operation order retained except the authorized appearance options and long-running status text.

Interactions: original settings entry, light/dark selection, app reduced motion, back to workspace with draft intact, reload, unified/split Diff, original connection modal, pending/failed sync and successful fixture commit. Toasts render with the current dark theme, and completion is observed only after the API result. Browser JS console inspection returned no errors.

Follow-up: Windows/Linux hardware, OS setting changes, 200% actual zoom, screen readers/color-vision simulation, large Diff scrolling and real network long-running Git were not validated here. Do not interpret this local visual QA result as full cross-platform issue acceptance.
