# Australian selected Health authoring review Reviewed 21 October 2026. All 32 Foundation–Year 6 Personal, social and community health standards are Full in the [coverage report](acara-v9-health-coverage.md), with 117 links across 79 topics: 54 existing and 25 new. The 27 PE standards are excluded. This does not claim full Health and Physical Education coverage. ## Shared subjects and reuse The batch uses Personal & Social Development (23 new topics) and Science / The Human Body (two). It introduces no subjects or domains. Country-specific services and campaigns are examples within shared topics. Two HASS-authored topics gain Health links: My family and where we're from (`mt_0O4mXv3asF`) and Groups I belong to (`mt_x3DJWIEHBq`). Existing Geography and English topics also supply prerequisites. The new topics add distinct learning about identity, consent, body safety, transitions, health messages, stereotypes and healthy practices. Practical requirements use role-play, routines, actions and reflection rather than knowledge statements alone. The existing Prejudice and Discrimination topic (`mt_HFN1pGASpZ`) is extended and renamed Standing up to discrimination. Learners carry out an inclusion action in their school or community and reflect on its effect, addressing the implementation requirement of AC9HP6P05 while retaining the topic's ID and links. ## Review corrections Body-safety topics distinguish necessary personal care or medical examination from inappropriate touching. The care provider explains why and asks first; the exception does not extend to asking a child to touch someone else's private parts. Protective-response topics explain that abuse is never the child's fault, even if they could not say no or get away. This wording was checked against [NSPCC guidance](https://www.nspcc.org.uk/advice-for-families/pants-underwear-rule/). Online safety replaces a blanket screenshot instruction with adult-assisted reporting. It distinguishes keeping a safe record of an ordinary abusive message from saving or forwarding sexual images of children, following the [eSafety evidence guidance](https://www.esafety.gov.au/report/how-to-collect-evidence). ## Verification The live authoring graph, persisted mirror, database and export agree. All 1,837 existing topic IDs, 4,047 curriculum links and 3,853 prerequisite edges are preserved. The batch adds 25 topics, 33 curriculum links and 62 prerequisites. All new prerequisites are age-ordered, with Australian or universal alignments for hard prerequisites. There are no cycles, age-span warnings or new hard prerequisite age conflicts, and derived centrality matches the final graph. The 1,049 teaching-research records are unchanged; 813 topics lack research. Digital Technologies and Design and Technologies still have coverage gaps. PE, Arts and Languages remain outside the current goal.
