THE DRAW FALLBACK — ASKING THE MODEL TO JUST DRAW
When the agent sits in a pen-ready canvas for 4+ steps without drawing, the orchestrator triggers a one-shot fallback: `brain.makeSketch()`. This asks the model for JUST a sketch — coordinates and strokes — and dispatches them.
Why this exists: the weak model gets stuck tapping Insert, opening menus, browsing colors, and never actually starts drawing. The owner's repeated complaint: "it never knew it could begin drawing." The model has the drawing primitives but doesn't use them unprompted.
The fallback fires ONCE per task (`drawFallbackTried`). The actual ink — the coordinates, the shapes, the strokes — is still the model's composition. The deterministic code doesn't author art; it asks the model for art and executes the result. The distinction matters: the model does the creative work.
Before the fallback fires, there are state-prep guards:
- Keyboard open? Press back first. Never draw over the keyboard.
- Pen not selected? `selectPenMode()` first.
- Stuck in a pen-settings/insert panel? Detect it by checking if the last action was a tool/menu control, press back to dismiss it, return to a clean canvas.
The `drawFigure()` helper extracts the subject from the objective ("draw a cat" → "cat") so makeSketch gets a focused prompt instead of the full task objective. The sketch comes back as stroke JSON, the orchestrator feeds it to `performActionJson`, and finally — ink on canvas.
