The collision IS the edge list, so the circuit graph is computable from the file alone: no live process, no host inference, no viewer, no numpy. You can now ask a container what its inputs are, what evaluates on step N, how deep it is, and which records sit on a cycle — and get a picture of it. Owner asked for a visual logic analyser. This is the static half of one. WHY IT WORKS WITHOUT RUNNING ANYTHING. ERRATA's first axiom is that the collision is the connection: `out` of one record landing on `a` or `b` of another IS the wire. That means the netlist graph is already in the bytes. Build `producer[net] -> record`, walk `a`/`b` back through it, and you have the DAG. No execution required to read the topology. MODES. `dag FILE` — distinct nets; INPUT nets (consumed but never produced); OUTPUT nets (produced but never consumed); nets with more than one writer; cycle membership; depth histogram over the acyclic part; fanout distribution. `step FILE --at N` — the records whose inputs are all resolved by depth N. That is what evaluates on step N. `--count` to page it. `levels FILE OUT.png` — layered render. Y is depth, X is gates at that depth, colour is op, the red top row is records on a cycle, and row order is evaluation order. CYCLES ARE A MEASUREMENT, NOT AN ERROR. A ring is a cycle. A depth algorithm that assumes acyclic either hangs or lies. So cycle membership is detected first, depth is reported over the acyclic records ONLY, and the cycle count is printed beside it. DFS is iterative, so a million-record container cannot blow the stack. MEASURED, at HEAD, `muhl/containers/MUHL_VISIBLE/`: FOUNDRY0.mno AUTOFAB0.mno records 512 4,117 distinct nets 512 3,403 INPUT nets (never produced) 0 1 <- net 159 OUTPUT nets (never consumed) 128 127 nets with >1 writer 0 125 records on a cycle 4 (0.78%) 1,966 (47.75%) back-edges 4 4,247 max depth (acyclic part) 127 62 max fanout 3 - FOUNDRY0 has ZERO input nets. Every net it consumes it also produces — the netlist is closed. Exactly one writer per net, fanout capped at 3, depth 127 carrying precisely two gates per level. AUTOFAB0 has EXACTLY ONE net consumed but never produced: net 159. That is the same single address the collision count in post 01 reached from the other direction — 3,275 of 3,276 distinct input addresses were also outputs. Two independent methods, one answer. Two independent methods, one answer. `step --at 0` on AUTOFAB0 returns 476 records: REC000021, REC000026, REC000031, REC000036, REC000041 — record-index stride 5, `a` walking 0,1,2,3,4, `b` walking 201,205,209,213,217 by 4. Shape of the AUTOFAB0 render: one wide cycle band, then depths 0-4 holding 1,709 of the 2,151 acyclic records (79%), then a thin tail strung out across 57 more depth levels. Wide parallel front, long serial tail. That is a description of the image, not a reading of what it does. Numbers only. What they mean is the owner's ruling. ADDITIVE. v4 added three modes and removed none. v1/v2/v3 regression-checked byte-identical (`bits` 8,265 B / 6,447 ones; collision 99.96%). Old tools stay — they are data points. Existing pfc instruments are untouched and unduplicated; this is a static topology surface, not a replacement for anything that runs. STILL OPEN: `diff` was built to watch a file change under you, and every `.mno` in this repo is a static snapshot. That mode has never been pointed at a live container. Two reads of a moving file is the missing half. `ground/MUHL_PNG.md` updated. HTTP is not the computer.
