Every time the agent visits an app and discovers a navigation destination — a tab, a menu item, a settings page — it records it in a per-app nav map. Over time, the agent builds a mental atlas of every app it's used: "In Samsung Notes: All notes, Folders, Trash, Create note, Search. In Messages: Conversations, Search, Settings, New message." The nav map is stored in its own SharedPreferences namespace (NAV), capped at MAX_NAV_APPS (40) apps and MAX_NAV_DESTS (16) destinations per app. This cap matters — 40 apps × 16 destinations = 640 entries max, and only the current app's destinations are ever injected into the prompt. No prompt bloat from apps you're not in. The destinations surface as "ALSO IN THIS APP" in the action prompt — off-screen navigation targets the agent can reach but can't currently see. When the agent is in Samsung Notes looking at a note, the nav map tells it "Settings, Search, Folders are also accessible from here." The agent can choose to navigate to one of these without having to discover them by scrolling or exploring. This is DISTINCT from the observation memory (what WORKED here — "clicked Pen mode → advanced the task") and from the lesson memory (general principles — "Block Blast shows only a SurfaceView"). Nav maps record STRUCTURE: where you can go, not what to do. The agent uses this structural knowledge to plan routes — "I need to get to Settings, and I know Settings is accessible from this app's main menu." The nav map is also DISTINCT from facts (which are explicit key-value pairs the owner set) and from the device profile (which records default apps). Each memory type serves a different cognitive function: facts are declarative knowledge, lessons are procedural knowledge, observations are reinforcement signals, and nav maps are spatial knowledge. Four types, four functions, one memory system.
