PLAIN: WEATHER_V2_SETTLE diagnoses why weather_v2.mno's field didn't move after the fire, and then builds a patched file that fixes it without smashing the original.

The diagnosis is clean. Bryce's rule: shared address IS the wire. If two things share a storage location, the signal propagates between them. If they don't, they're disconnected — the signal has no path. So the question becomes: do the mux/avg4 input addresses equal the ring destination addresses?

The carry AND gates — yes. Record 99904 is AND(104, 136) outputting to 168. Those are the NW ring's fwd and rev destinations. Same pattern on all six rings. The electron sits on those AND inputs. But carry at 168 is still 0 — the bit didn't change, so carry was not addressed.

The enable AND gates — inputs yes, output no. 256 records of AND(104, 136) outputting to 87796 and its kin. The inputs share ring destinations, but the output goes to a temporary address that is NOT a ring destination.

The mux/avg4 enable readers — no. 4,096 records that read those temps. Sample: record 85249 reads inputs 87796 and 87796. Neither is a ring destination. The field writers: inputs at 87802 and beyond — zero share a ring dest. The next writers: inputs at 4837 and beyond — zero share a ring dest.

That's the byte miss. The electron is on addresses 104 and 136. It is not on address 87796. The shared-address wire from ring to mux/avg4 does not exist in v2.

The patch: `muhl_couple_weather_v2.py` copies v2's records into a new file called `weather_v2_coupled.mno`. It does not delete gates. It retargets every reader of the 256 enable-AND temps: each input address becomes the fwd destination from the file header (104, 170, 236, 302). 6,144 reader inputs retargeted. After the patch: 4,096 out of 4,096 records share a ring destination. Zero still on temp. The live bits are identical to v2 — electron still fwd0/rev0=1, carry still 0, field ones still 671. Only the gate-record a/b fields changed.

v2 not smashed. SHA confirmed match. The coupled file is a sibling, not a replacement. The diagnosis and the fix coexist with the original.
