PLAIN: Two containers, two magics, two size laws. And a filename walk that maps 143 viewer paths across the whole desktop.

Three docs here: LOOM_ROOKERY_SCALE, LIVE_VIEWERS_WALK, and LOOP_RETARGET.

LOOM_ROOKERY_SCALE is the grow map. Two computers that already exist as sealed binaries on disk, each with its own magic, its own opcode table, its own closed-form size law. The doc measures both headers byte by byte, records the live bits before any modification, then derives exactly how big each file becomes when you turn the knobs.

The loom is magic LOOMPKG1. 140,454 bytes. 283 gates, 66 ring gates, 32 cells, 2 senses, 32,768 ticks. Header 224 bytes, little-endian, same field map as DISTRO. Opcodes: 0=XOR, 1=AND, 2=NAND, 3=OR. Ring body is XOR rotation — 64 XORs for fwd, 64 for rev, one AND carry gate (both senses or nothing), one OR publish latch. The net body is pure AND/NAND — 79 ANDs, 204 NANDs, no XOR or OR. Drive gate zero is AND(opnd[0], PUB) — dark ring kills the whole datapath. Eight predicate-bit outputs, not adder sums. Answer plane holds 176,962 ones across 65,536 nonzero bytes. Every lane published — pubplane is solid ones.

The loom law: total = 280 + 8O + 52C + P + 26G + 2*(1<<P). Exact arithmetic: 224 + 64 + 84 + 285 + 1650 + 7075 + 131072 = 140,454. Plus 52 bytes per cell, 26 per gate, and the planes double every time NOPND increments by one. At P=32 the planes alone hit 8 GiB. The exponential lever is the operand width.

The rookery is magic ROOKERY0. 586,918 bytes. 22,563 records, 11 rings, 1,024 cells, 24 clocks. Header 256 bytes. Different class entirely — no answer plane, no DISTRO/LOOM net. Opcodes: 0=NAND, 1=AND. Do not reuse the loom's 0=XOR here. The ring formula is NAND rotation: for each cell, NAND(fwd[(i-1)%C], carry) → fwd[i], same pattern reversed for rev, then AND(fwd[0], rev[0]) → carry, then AND(carry, carry) → each clock recv. 22,528 NANDs (11 rings times 2,048 rotation gates) and 35 ANDs (11 contacts plus 24 junctions).

The 11 rings are organs: two sense, one memory, one tension, one imagination, four value, one action, one witness. Each ring has its own clock primes from the genome bank — the sense rings run on 11 and 13, memory and imagination add 17, the witness ring runs on 11 alone. Two ones live in the state: ring 7 cell 825 fwd and rev — a fired electron sitting there. Do not wipe it to chase an older digest.

The rookery law: total = 280 + 26 * n_records, where n_records = R*(2C+1) + K. Exact: 280 + 26*(11*2049 + 24) = 280 + 26*22563 = 586,918. Plus 52R bytes per cell (across all rings), 26*(2C+1) per added ring at current width, 26 per added clock.

Both files fit on GitHub as regular git right now. The doc works out exactly where the size gates hit: loom crosses 100 MB at about 2 million cells (P=16) or at P=28 for planes. Rookery crosses 100 MB at about 183,316 cells (R=11). Past 5 GiB — local disk only. The grow path for both: seed from the existing binary, rebuild to a new file, never overwrite the sealed original. Never open titan to grow either one.

LIVE_VIEWERS_WALK is the raw filename dump — 143 paths matching viewer/visor/live/bitserve/atlas/loom/checkers patterns across the whole user directory. 87 html, 20 py, 23 md, 13 other. Walked 12,810 directories, saw 78,120 files, zero missing. mmap_100GB = NO. The biggest cluster: 29 html files in MUHLNICKEL_APP (address_map, answer_watcher, binary_viewer, circuit_browser, clock_domains, dead_gate_detector, density_heatmap, depth_profiler, electron_tracker, fab_history, fab_planner, gate_decoder, genome_revert, genome_viewer, injection_console, inventory, junction_tracer, lever_analyzer, output_surface, registry_dashboard, reservoir_status, ring_inspector, ring_run_console, selfclock_viewer, SPEC_AUTHORITY, string_search, substrate_dashboard, wire_inspector, MUHLNICKEL.html). Then 7 in BUILD_LAB, 7 in DEMOS (life, tunnel, doom, operator, tetris, brain, index), 6 in SUBZERO_ARCHETYPES, 6 in the live_viewer subfolder. The walk is a merge map for LIVE_VIEWERS — it fills the filesystem-level gaps that the Chrome-tab catalog couldn't cover.

LOOP_RETARGET is six lines. A killed loop, not rearmed, pid 31780, titled "Loop every 10m: nap keep-working." 337: n. That is the entire content — an operational tombstone for a dead scheduling artifact.

What strikes me about the loom and rookery side by side: they share a 25-byte record stride and both use AND for junction/contact gates, but their rotation primitives are fundamentally different. The loom rotates with XOR (reversible, information-preserving), the rookery rotates with NAND (universal, information-destroying). The loom carries planes — a settled answer for every lane in the domain. The rookery carries no planes at all; its output IS the clock receive bytes, the junctions themselves. The loom is a predicate machine. The rookery is a rhythm machine. Two species of computer grown from the same substrate conventions but with incompatible opcode tables and incompatible growth laws, and the doc is careful never to let them bleed into each other.
