Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how the DriveNote mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and protects your information.
## 1. Local Data Storage (No Data Collection)
DriveNote is built to be a **100% local, offline-first application**. 
- We **do not** collect, transmit, or store your personal data, trip logs, client names, or odometer readings on any external servers. 
- All data you enter into the App is saved directly to the secure internal storage of your personal device.
- Because we do not collect your data, we cannot access it, share it, sell it, or recover it for you if it is lost.
## 2. Device Permissions
To provide its core functionality, the App requests the following permissions on your device:
- **Camera:** Used strictly for the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature to scan your physical odometer and extract the numbers locally. Images are processed on-device and are immediately discarded. They are never saved or uploaded anywhere.
- **Location:** Used strictly to open external Map applications (like Apple Maps or Google Maps) with your destination pre-filled. We do not track your background location.
## 3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on native manufacturer APIs for text recognition (Apple Vision on iOS, Google ML Kit on Android). These libraries operate on-device and do not transmit data to external servers for processing.
If you use the export functionality, data is handed off to your device's native share sheet to send via email, messages, or files. We do not monitor these exports.
## 4. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13, as we do not collect any data at all.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
