We are sorry to see you go! If you encountered any issues, please feel free to open an issue on our GitHub repository.
You can uninstall xfetch by running the following command in your terminal:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xfetch-cli/xfetch/main/uninstall.sh | bash
The uninstaller removes the binary and the PATH entries added by the installer, and preserves
your configuration. To also remove all config files and data, add --purge:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xfetch-cli/xfetch/main/uninstall.sh | bash -s -- --purge
If you installed to a custom location, pass the same options you used during installation:
bash uninstall.sh --prefix /usr/local --config-dir /etc/xfetch --purge
If you prefer to uninstall manually, you can delete the following files and directories:
rm ~/.local/bin/xfetch
rm -rf ~/.config/xfetch
~/.bashrc, ~/.zshrc, or ~/.bash_profile) and remove the lines added by the installer:
# xfetch path
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
If you installed with install.ps1, run the uninstaller in PowerShell:
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xfetch-cli/xfetch/main/uninstall.ps1 | iex
Add -Purge to also remove the config directory (%APPDATA%\xfetch):
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xfetch-cli/xfetch/main/uninstall.ps1 | iex -Args "-Purge"
