# Privacy Policy — CSAlpha Cart Helper

**Short version: this extension collects nothing, stores nothing about you, and
sends no data to anyone.**

## What the extension does

CSAlpha Cart Helper adds a button on [csalpha.net](https://csalpha.net) that
stages a trade-up's inputs into your [CSFloat](https://csfloat.com) shopping
cart. When you click it, the extension:

1. Reads the trade-up's public CSFloat listing IDs from CSAlpha's public API.
2. In a csfloat.com tab, checks each listing against CSFloat's own API using the
   session you are already logged into, and keeps the ones still for sale.
3. Writes those listings into CSFloat's own in-browser cart storage.

All of this happens locally in your browser, between you, csalpha.net, and
csfloat.com. The extension is only a courier.

## Data collection

**None.** The extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any
personal or usage data. Specifically:

- No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or fingerprinting.
- No accounts, logins, or identifiers created by the extension.
- No data sent to the developer or any third-party server. The extension has no
  server of its own.
- No reading of your Steam credentials, payment details, or CSFloat password. It
  never sees them — it only reuses the CSFloat session cookie your browser
  already holds, the same way the CSFloat website itself does.

## Permissions and why they exist

- **Access to csalpha.net** — to show the button and read the trade-up's public
  listing IDs.
- **Access to csfloat.com** — to check listing availability and add items to your
  CSFloat cart, using your existing CSFloat session.
- **Tabs** — to find or open the csfloat.com tab where the cart lives.

Each permission is used only for the single purpose above and nothing else.

## Purchases

The extension never buys anything. It only places items in your cart. Every
purchase is still made by you, manually, on CSFloat.

## Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published in the
extension's public repository. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last
updated" date above.
