Near the beginning, Control+Shift+M enters Immersive Mode: the panel, language control island, buttons and borders all disappear. Only the subtitle text remains over the picture. At the end, the shortcut restores the controls briefly for pause/resume, then returns to the subtitles-only view. ## Film credit **Sintel** — © copyright Blender Foundation | [www.sintel.org](https://www.sintel.org). Changes: a 31-second dialogue excerpt beginning at 02:07 is shown within a software-interface demonstration, with Chinese subtitles and Mimi controls overlaid. The original English soundtrack is retained. The GIF is a silent 6.5-second preview of the subtitles-only view, not the full film or the full demonstration. No endorsement by the filmmakers is implied. ## Recording boundaries The real Alibaba Cloud service translated this exact public film audio in one bounded session (run 34040075430). Its original text events and receive offsets are replayed without correcting the wording or shortening response latency. The actual, unchanged production frontend renders the subtitles and handles the visible controls. Native IPC and the OS shortcut boundary are substituted in the isolated documentation harness; this does not verify OS system-audio capture, native global-shortcut registration, keychain access, or an installed desktop session. The keyboard-driven presentation mirror follows the application window manager: it hides the separate control window, preserves click-through, and cannot reopen a hidden island from a delayed dismissal. The recorder sends Control+Shift+M; the application uses Command+Shift+M on macOS. Subtitle size 16 is a recording preference, not a change to application defaults. Dialogue plays at normal speed with its original sound. Control actions after the film ends play at 10x. The main video is one uninterrupted 1920×1080 recording. This edited demonstration is not a provider-latency benchmark. No credentials are present in the browser, video, fixtures or committed files. The original test key was held in process memory for the separate experiment. No private audio, microphone input or personal documents were used; the application itself still does not save audio or subtitles. The public film response fixture under `english-film/response.json` belongs only to this attributed documentation example. It is never loaded by Mimi and is not application telemetry. Source hashes, timing and validation results are in `provenance.json`.
Video files and encoding The repository READMEs link here to the approved full video, played through GitHub’s native attachment player. Its standalone attachment URL must remain in its own paragraph so GitHub renders playback controls. The playback copy preserves the complete 40.133-second recording at 1920×1080 and 30 fps. High-quality H.264 compression reduces it from 23,631,884 to 12,746,625 bytes (46.1%); two-second keyframes improve seeking and lower bitrate peaks. The AAC soundtrack is copied without re-encoding. Full-frame SSIM against the original is 0.991973. The unchanged original remains available from the Release link. The Release retains the original video, animated preview and PNG as downloadable archives outside the source tree. The dedicated demo tag is a non-latest prerelease and is not an application update. Playback on this page uses GitHub attachments. The separate product website serves a higher-quality 17,075,906-byte copy through its existing versioned CDN. Existing Git history is not rewritten.
