# FocusLock Terms of Service

Welcome to FocusLock: App Blocker (the "App"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") describe the rules that apply when you download, access, or use the App. By using FocusLock, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

## 1. Services

FocusLock provides tools to help you reduce distractions by shielding selected apps, websites, or categories during focus sessions. Features may include focus timers, app and website blocking through Apple's Screen Time framework, recurring rules, local focus statistics, and alternate app icons.

We may update, adjust, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the App from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the App or another appropriate channel when required.

## 2. Accounts

FocusLock can be used without creating an account. Some features depend on device permissions, Screen Time settings, and Apple's Family Controls framework.

## 3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use FocusLock lawfully, responsibly, and in good faith. You are responsible for choosing which apps, websites, or categories to block and for deciding when to start or end a focus session.

You must not use the App to violate laws, infringe the rights of others, interfere with App security, reverse engineer restricted parts of the App, or misuse any service connected to the App.

## 4. Screen Time Permission

Blocking features require Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls permission. If permission is not granted, revoked, restricted, or unavailable on your device, those features may not work.

## 5. Intellectual Property

FocusLock, including its software, interface, text, images, trademarks, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

## 6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

FocusLock is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It is a productivity tool and does not guarantee any specific productivity, health, academic, or professional outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for data loss, device issues, lost profits, or losses caused by your use of or inability to use the App.

## 7. Third-Party Services and Links

The App may include Apple frameworks, system services, or links to external pages. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or practices.

## 8. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted in the App, on our website, or through another appropriate channel. Your continued use of FocusLock after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

## 9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the region where the App is provided, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.

Any dispute related to these Terms or the App should first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to an appropriate arbitration institution or court as permitted by applicable law.
