Zuli ProxyBroker Extended Copyright 2026 Zuli2021 โ€” modifications to this distribution Zuli ProxyBroker Extended is an independently maintained derivative of the upstream project proxybroker-rs (). Zuli claims only modifications to this distribution and does not claim authorship of the upstream project. Original upstream copyright, attribution, license notices, and prior statements of change remain preserved below. Evidence-supported changes introduced by Zuli2021 in 2026 include: 1. Distribution identity. The Cargo package is zuli-proxybroker-extended; the Rust library crate and CLI executable remain proxybroker. 2. Proxy-pool and tunnel behavior. Initial proxy-pool fill concurrency and retry limits are configurable. Relay negotiation for HTTPS-capable upstream proxies used by HTTP CONNECT and SOCKS5 frontends was corrected to use opaque tunnels, a design intended to preserve client-owned end-to-end TLS. 3. Focused automated tests cover pool-fill controls, CLI parsing, defaults, and relay-protocol selection. 4. Distribution governance. Automatic crates.io publication was removed pending separate approval. The installer was retargeted to Zuli, made fail-closed for mandatory SHA-256 verification, and changed to retain LICENSE, NOTICE, and LICENSE-DATA. Release workflow logic was hardened for concurrency, publication ordering, stable/prerelease handling, and the GHCR latest-tag policy. 5. Current-project README and mdBook documentation were migrated to the Zuli identity while preserving upstream provenance and historical records. For engineering traceability, modified source files retain file-level modification notices where established, while non-source distribution changes are recorded in this NOTICE and the repository's Git history. Original upstream notices remain preserved. ================================================================================ proxybroker-rs Copyright 2026 proxybroker-rs contributors This product includes software developed as part of ProxyBroker and ProxyBroker2: ProxyBroker Copyright 2015-2018 Constverum https://github.com/constverum/ProxyBroker ProxyBroker2 Copyright 2018-2025 BlueT - Matthew Lien - ็ทดๅ–†ๆ˜Ž https://github.com/bluet/proxybroker2 Both are licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STATEMENT OF CHANGES (Apache License 2.0, Section 4(b)) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- proxybroker-rs is a derivative work: a rewrite of ProxyBroker2 (Python 3 / asyncio) into Rust (tokio). It is not a copy, a translation, or a binding. No Python source is redistributed. The following changes were made relative to the original work: 1. Language and runtime. Python 3.10+/asyncio replaced by Rust/tokio. All source was rewritten. Program structure, protocol handling, provider list, and the observable behaviour of proxy discovery, checking, and serving are derived from the original. 2. Geolocation data. The original bundles MaxMind's GeoLite2-Country database inside its distributed package. proxybroker-rs does NOT redistribute any MaxMind data. It bundles DB-IP Country Lite instead (see LICENSE-DATA), and supports a user-supplied database path. See docs/systematic-refactor/ research.md for the analysis behind this change. 3. Public API. The Python API (Broker, Proxy, Judge, Provider, Checker, Server, ProxyPool and the provider_utils helpers) was redesigned to be idiomatic Rust rather than transliterated. Behavioural parity is the goal; API-shape parity is not. Deliberate behavioural deviations are recorded in docs/systematic-refactor/map.md. 4. Provider registry. Providers whose domains no longer resolve as of 2026-07-15 were not carried over. Providers are expressed as data (configuration) rather than as subclasses. 5. Bug fixes. Defects identified in the original during the port are fixed rather than reproduced. Each is recorded as a deviation in docs/systematic-refactor/map.md. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIRD-PARTY DATA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When built with the "geo-bundled" feature (enabled by default), this product includes the DB-IP Country Lite database: IP Geolocation by DB-IP (https://db-ip.com) Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
