The Girl

As Alfred Hitchcock prepares his next movie, The Birds (1963), he selects a young model by the name of Tippi Hedren to be the star. She's quite flattered that the great director selected her for the part but isn't so prepared when he becomes infatuated with her. She rejects his advances but his response is often cruel, such as requiring over 50 takes with live birds attacking her. He kept her on for his next film Marnie (1964) but the relationship continued to deteriorate. They never worked together again.
