Worried About the Boy

England, year 1980. The young George O'Dowd (Douglas Booth) confronts his parents, who accept not his taste for quirky clothes and makeup. Along with his friend Peter (Freddie Fox), pretending to be Marilyn Monroe, resides in a local squat. When you find a job as a cloakroom attendant at a club, he begins to learn the local musicians, including drummer Jon Moss (Mathew Horne). Through the former group the Sex Pistols manager, Malcolm McLaren (Mark Gatiss), George decides to start his own career in entertainment. After appearances in the McLaren team created by Bow Wow Wow with Moss assumes the formation of Culture Club. Commercial successes draw the attention of the tabloid press, writer for the drug excesses of George. This is the beginning of a colorful career O'Dowd, known as Boy George artistic pseudonym.
