JCBL is a charity basketball league for everyone 18 years old or older.
We want to provide our players with an active and communal experience every time they step onto the court. Our goal is to create awareness and contribute to local and widespread charities, funds, or causes, while making great friends along the way. Rather than focusing on profits, we run our league in a way that maximizes the general well-being of its players and its sociable and charitable significance to those players.
Our vision is simple: to make the world a better place with one little act of kindness at a time. We express the importance of these acts to our players and coaches in hopes that they will spread these ideas even further. We believe in uniting people of all races, religions, and genders, and that a great way to do that is to find something that you all love and do it together - in this case, we unite through basketball.
We are looking for players and coaches who love basketball and have great sportsmanship. After all, no matter the outcome of the game, it's all going towards a great cause.
Every team plays for a specific charity or fund of its choice. It does not, however, have to be the same charity for every game. Many teams pick a different one every time they play!
