The GregTech Industrial Grinder "Ultimaceratron 42a" is one of the original GregTech Intergalactical 100% Lagfree Multiblock Machines. It functions as a mid-game upgrade to the Macerator. The advantage of the Grinder is that every ground ore can yield up to three different materials. The Industrial Grinder can accept any Macerate-able ore block, but cannot grind items. Every ore takes 5 seconds (100 ticks) to process, consuming 120EU/t, for 12,000EU per block. The Grinder requires the use of a liquid catalyst to carry out the grinding. Water can be pumped into the Grinder, and any ore can be ground with water, but certain ore blocks can be ground with either Mercury or Sodium Persulfate Cells, to increase their outputs.

Construction

Construction of an Industrial Grinder requires 18 Standard Machine Casings, 8 Reinforced Machine Casings, one bucket of water, and the Industrial Grinder control block.
Because of the shape of the structure, up to four control blocks can be attached to one set of Machine Casings.

Machine Casings

The body of the Industrial Grinder is a 3x3x3 cube of Machine Casings. The control block can be placed in the center of any of the 4 sides of the cube (but not on the top or bottom), with the back of the block placed against the cube.

Recipes

Recipe chart broken up based on which mod adds different ores. All ores registered as equivalent in the Forge Ore Dictionary will have the same products, and if more than one mod adds an ore it will not be listed twice.
Note: Prior to 1.6, all Grinder recipes were registered twice in NEI; once with a Water Bucket, and once with a Water Cell. The recipes were otherwise identical.
Note 2: The Catalyst column will not have an entry if the catalyst is Water. If there is an entry, one Cell of catalyst will be consumed per operation, if available.
Note 3: The Outputs in bold are those affected by the catalyst
Note 4: If more than one mod adds an Ore (such as Copper), only one copy of the recipes will be shown in NEI.
Note 5: If an ore is configured to not generate in the world, its processing recipes may not be added to the Grinder.
Note 6: The Industrial Grinder is not always the most efficient way to extract resources from your ore blocks. The user Nonotan created a very useful guide on resource efficiency, and whether to use the Macerator or the Industrial Grinder for a given Ore.

As a General Rule: Sodium Persulfate increases output of Copper, Zinc, or Nickel. Mercury increases output of Gold, Silver, or Platinum.
