"Boo, he's bad! We want BENDER!"

The Plate Bending Machine is an early tier Electric Gregtech machine that is used to make metal Plates out of metal Ingots. It consumes up to 30EU/t with its various recipes, but its primary use is converting Ingots to Plates at a 1 to 1 ratio. This makes it a vast improvement over the use of Hammers, or the Steam-Powered Forge Hammer, each of which consume 2 Ingots per Plate.

The Plate Bending Machine can also make buckets, fuel cells, tin cans and empty cells. With Railcraft installed, it can turn various metal rods into rails.

Its cousin the Plate Cutting Machine can be considered an upgrade in making plates. It has a larger initial cost in terms of energy, time and materials, cutting entire storage blocks at a time into nine plates, but the end result is less time and energy taken per plate. It is also able to make plates from gems.

Note that Iridium Alloy Ingots cannot be rolled into Reinforced Iridium Plates; they must be compressed via an Implosion Compressor.
