If you were redirected to this page, the item you clicked is a cover. Look for its recipe and info below.

Almost all GregTech blocks accept Covers. Covers are placed on the sides of machines, and depending on their function, enable or disable certain types of interactions. They also block that side of the machine, for purposes of rain safety.
Machines that accept Covers can only have one cover per face.
Most covers interact (or deny interaction with) with either the machines they are placed on, the block the cover is facing, or both.
Note: ALL covers, except the Computer Monitor, block right-click access to their side.
Covers that are intended for automation (pump/conveyor/drain...) access the machine's internal inventory and use a tiny amount of EU to function, drawn from the machine's internal energy storage. If the covered machine has been given MJ or Steam Upgrades, the covers can use this energy as well. Solar Panel covers supply energy (EU) to the machine's internal energy storage. Note: If a machine does not have an internal energy storage, energy is not consumed by these covers.

Covers can only be removed using a Crowbar. Railcraft Crowbars will also work.

When a machine is disassembled with a Wrench, its covers are kept. A Crowbar is required to remove Covers from a machine.

Screwdrivers

Screwdrivers modify covers, changing their behavior by cycling through their available functions. On covers such as the Conveyor Belt and the Pump Cover, these include Export, Import, Export (conditional), Import (conditional), Export (inver cond), Import (invert cond), Export allow Input, Import allow Output, Export allow Input (conditional), Import allow Output (conditional), Export allow Input (invert cond) and finally, Import allow Output (invert cond). "Conditional" refers to the Redstone signal or lack thereof that the machine is interpreting through a Redstone Machine Controller.

They can also be used to change the frequency of Wireless Redstone covers.

You can also get a free cover that blocks all interactions by right clicking an uncovered machine facing with a screwdriver. Right click again to get a red cover that only blocks Redstone.
