CAMPBELL COUSINS CORRESPONDENCE
Osceola. Pa.,
June 14, 1923.
Dear Cousins:-
Cousin Will’s
Correspondence Plan is great. I feel I must make an
effort to write a little. I have missed going to the
Cousins Dinners for the last two years so that I do
not see any of you very often.
All of you have been to
the dear old home on Briar Hill [near Osceola] in
your younger days.
Pa
and Ma both went
away in 1916, thirteen weeks apart.
The Lord is
merciful to me. I have my health;
Dellie
[husband Oscar
Adelbert Van Dusen] is in bed all the time;
he has not been dressed in six weeks so you can see
I am home all alone; cannot leave for even an hour
at a time.
I have a
grandboy
[Hugh Van Dusen]
who has been here during the school year.
I shall
enjoy getting the quarterly reports; I cannot
write three sheets, but the next letter will be
easier.
I hope everyone will respond.
