Mary Ann CAMPBELL Seely (1826 - 1894)

Mary Ann Campbell was born Jul. 22, 1826, in Nelson, Tioga Co., PA; d. May 16, 1894 in Osceola, Tioga Co., PA. Married Oct. 21, 1846, to Allen Seely, b. Sep. 9, 1826, in NY; d. Feb. 9, 1909 in Osceola. Allen's parents were Nathaniel Seely and Lucy Kelsey, both born in NY.

Mary Ann was the 3rd of 12 children of Joseph Campbell, b. 1793 in N. Ireland or Scotland, d. 1864 in Nelson; and Ann Clinch, born 1804 in Gloucestershire, England, died 1872 in Nelson.

Allen and Mary Ann Campbell Seely had three children, all born in Osceola:

1. Marcus Brutus Seely, b. Oct. 29, 1847, m. Susan E. Losey;
2. Jud Delos Seely, b. May 21, 1851, m. Mary Babcock and Campbell Cousin Mary Louise Hazlett; and
3. Ada Campbell Seely, b. Jul. 3, 1858, m. Campbell Cousin Truman M. Crandall.

After the death of Mary Ann's sister, Julia CAMPBELL Selph, Mary Ann raised Julia's son, William E. Selph, Jr.
