Dear Members of the Class of 1999:
Congratulations on your selection to attend the Industrial College of
the Armed Forces! As a student in the Class of '99, you will participate in 75th
anniversary since the founding of the College in 1924.
In my capacity as the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors
of the ICAF Association, I asked your Commandant to include this letter in your welcome
package. I know you are eager to begin your "ICAF experience." It may seem
premature to discuss the Association, but I want to alert you to its existence and I
sincerely hope you will join.
We enhance the ICAF experience with strong links to the institution,
its curriculum, your classmates, graduates of other classes, as well as the faculty. Your
class president will be asked to sit on our Board of Directors. A list of what we do is on
the back of this letter for your review.
One major benefit of membership is a directory of graduates. This
publication is designed to provide you with a "hot network" with not only your
classmates, but also with others who have preceded you.
Avoid waiting in line at registration and fill out the enclosed
membership application and send it with your check for $30.00. Your membership will begin
when you arrive and be valid until December 31, 1999, (six months after you graduate).
I believe your membership in the Association will provide you
opportunities, not otherwise available, to enrich you future endeavors. Welcome aboard --
it's going to be a great year!
