 | No food or drinks are allowed in the computer labs or at individual computers. |
 | Students are not to use or "load" their privately owned computer software in
school computers without the permission of the classroom or supervising teacher. |
 | Under no circumstances shall students, employees or anyone else exhibit or disseminate
obscene materials on school properly using school computers or by other means. |
 | A student shall not damage, alter or steal school property, or possess or distribute
school property without appropriate authorization. |
 | It is a felony to change or disrupt a computer or network for any length of time. |
 | Never give your password to anyone. If someone else uses your password to get into
the system and breaks the rules, your are an accessory to the crime. |
 | Instructors will be monitoring your work. Always be prepared to answer question
about the project. |
 | Students never have permission to alter the setup of a school computer. If the
school purchased software needs changes, inform your teacher, Curriculum Technology
Specialist, or tech support will attend to the matter. |
 | You should work only in your assigned application software and student directory. |
 | There should never be more than one student at a computer when using the Internet. |
 | You may not go to a chat room on a school computer. |
 | You may not order anything from on-line catalogs. |
 | Do not give out personal information about yourself over the net. |
 | You may not publish school related web pages. |
 | You must have an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) signed by your parents/guardians, yourself,
and sponsoring teacher on file at the school board to use the Internet. |
 | Vandalism of school property is unacceptable. Vandalism includes any malicious
attempt to harm, alter, or destroy data of another user, machine, server, or network as
well as actual physical destruction of computer equipment. |
 | The use of a computer in the classroom is a privilege, not a right. Every class is
structured so that a student can have the opportunity to do pencil and paper work in place
of computer work if computer misuse is determined to be a problem. |
 | Computers in the classroom should not contain any software that has not been purchased
and properly licensed by the Coweta County School System, the school, or the teacher for
use in your classroom. |
 | A teacher or staff member is responsible for the care and use of all equipment under
their supervision. Students do not have the authority to change or alter school
equipment. |
