The Grants Resource Center provides the following information, training and resource materials: Newsletters Workshops for Proposal Preparation FAX-O-FACTS -- Timely information on funding sources is sent via FAX machines to the grant liaison repre sentative designated by each district superintendent, and provides the latest information or deadline changes for various funding opportunities. Computer Data Base Search Capability -- Searches for appropriate funding sources can be done using CD ROM DIALOG grants database and various grants bulletin boards. Grant Writer's Directory -- The Center maintains a list of experienced writers who are available on a consultant basis to work with educators on proposals and funding applications. Videotape Loan Program
-- Most of our workshops are videotaped. These videocassettes, along with support materials, are available for a two-week loan. MaterialsThe Center maintains comprehensive, up-to-date funding information and resources in its library, which in cludes: Directories of governmental, corporate, foundation, and philanthropic funding sources

Federal Register The Center receives the Federal Register daily. This lists all regulations and grant and contract notices issued by federal agencies. Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Funding Announcements The Center maintains funding announcements from a wide range of public agencies including education, health, criminal justice, drug and alcohol prevention, juvenile delinquency prevention, and others. Foundation and Philanthropic Organization Materials The Center has obtained application materials, annual reports, and tax returns from local and national organiza tions that support educational programs. Funding priorities and timetables, eligibility criteria, previously funded programs, and other relevant information assist fund seekers to select the most viable funding source. Books and Pamphlets The Center has collected a variety of reference materials and guides on the act of grant writing and fundraising:
