About Student Programs & Services
The Student Programs and Services Division operates four year-round alternative educational programs-the Pregnant Minor/School Age Mothers Program, Infant Program, Community Day Centers/Schools, and the Juvenile Court School-to a diverse student population at 15 locations in Alameda County. The Division operates with a staff of 58 certificated and 56 classified personnel to provide educational services to nearly 7,000 students ranging from birth to 19 years of age.
The Division views every student as valuable and is committed to providing students with the education necessary to enable them to meet their fullest potential. For the most part, the Division operates its programs under state compulsory school attendance mandates and federal special education laws.
Schools and programs within the Student Programs and Services Division are governed by the Alameda County Board of Education.
