Infomation Literacy

  1. If you would like to schedule a class for instruction in the use of Bell Library and its resources, please contact Denise Landry-Hyde in the Information Literacy Department at (361) 825-2608 or leave a voice mail message.

  2. If you cannot reach Denise right away, and you need to speak to someone immediately, call (361) 825-2609, the Reference Desk. Written verification will be sent to you to confirm the date and time of your class, or you will be contacted by phone to reschedule. Classroom assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is good to schedule classes as far in advance as possible.

  3. No less than one week's notice, preferably two, is needed. Classes are usually held in Library Instruction Center, Room #109. We also anticipate that faculty will be present with their classes. Thank you for your assistance in this important effort!
