Ok, that's definitely not what I saw with Lullaby this week. A mob that
nods totally can definitely become a nod and attack mob due to secondary
resist without having a real Resist in between.

If you Pixie Strike a mob and it outright resists, then on the
next Pixie Strike it nods but "resists your attempt to
mesmerize it," (Rr) then it will stay awake.

If you Pixie Strike a mob and it nods, then on the next Pixie
Strike it nods but "resists your attempt to mesmerize it,"
(Nr) you've refreshed the Strike and it stays asleep.

The MR debuff does not play any part in this AFAIK. The MR
debuff seems to stick whenever you see the "nods" message (at
least that's what I saw Striking myself).
