Bind essential? Phah! I'm level 25 and I think I've been bound twice. Once
in Rivervale and once in Qeynos. I frequently hang in South K and have been
heading out farther to places like Cazic and such. A death gives me time to
reflect on any mistakes that I've made and gives me a greater desire not to
die next time.

As far as caster's binding spots I would tend to agree more with limiting
everyone to cities and/or inns. Isn't the idea of binding to set your home
point? Who would ever want a home at the entrance to a dungeon?

But then again it's another class and it's just a game. =/

Good Journey,

Sineras Silverlyre (Cazic-Thule)

8)My big problem is I don't see Bind as a skill, its more of a
8)game mechanic.
8)One that seriously limits what you can do. I mean a good
8)check is usually
8)this: What would happen if all the casters in the game
8)suddenly decided not
8)to bind anyone they did not know personally? There are
8)already many casters
8)who hate being bothered about getting a bind, the fact that
8)non-casters have
8)no choice but to beg for a bind notwithstanding. If a skill
8)is so necessary
8)to continued play that refusal to grant it by a particular
8)group of players
8)would wreck the game, you have a problem. Maybe not one that
8)will ever
8)happen given the number of available players, but try getting
8)bound on the
8)test server. With only 200 players on there at all, who you
8)gonna find to
8)bind you? Nobody, plain and simple. That's why I stopped
8)playing there,
8)though I may try again. With a non binding-challenged class.

8)I've got to concur.
8)
8)There's already WAY too much skill overlap IMHO. Actually it
8)annoys me that
8)ALL the casters get bind, then on top of that it annoys me
8)that casters can
8)bind anywhere, where as noncasters can only bind in cities.
8)
8)The best happy medium I can think of is allow anyone to bind at Inns &
8)Taverns, but still only casters can cast bind. Also, take
8)away the bind
8)anywhere ability of the casters (forcing them to bind at the
8)inns as well).
