Well, I know it has been done to death at some point or another but here
goes. What you have so far is correct, but the inventory slots will not
work as hot keys unfortunately. In order to switch items you will have to
physically move the items.
For instance my setup has inv3, inv4, melee1, melee2, inv5 and inv6. Let
us say I am using my shield and longsword and would like to switch to a
drum in inv5. This is the process you have to go through.
1. Pick up sword drop into slot inv5 which picks up the drum
2. drop the drum into melee2 and it will be exchanged with the shield.
3. Drop the shield into inv6.
DOne. As you may notice the whole process is totally manual
unfortunately.
