It seems to depend on the type of mob. At L34, our group had
two sonic bats dumped on us by someone else. Both were red to
me. I fired up Screech out of reflex, and both bats went
running (flapping?). Our entire party made it out alive,
despite it being the first time in Sol B for two of them.

That's almost exactly what I do. Problem has been finding two
giants.
