Fun fact: I have two birthdays! Ask me why in person (:
I was born in Seoul, S. Korea and immigrated to the United States when I was five years old.
My first home in the United States was in Fremont, California. I can still kind of remember what my house looked like and the neighborhood I lived in. As a non-english speaking newcomer, I recall being bullied in the playground at the montessori I attended. But look at me now! I'm bilingual!
After a year of life in Fremont, my parents decided to pack up and fly across the nation to New Jersey, in hopes that they would find better business opportunities. I moved around quite frequently, even within NJ; I am able to categorize my past based on where I've lived for this reason. Luckily, I stayed in one state for thirteen years before becoming transient once again...
I spent four years in the Boston area, receiving a degree in neuroscience from Wellesley College. These were definitely some of the most formative years in my life to date-- it's where I first began to attend church and got baptized!
Fun Fact: Hillary Clinton attended Wellesley College!
I worked two years at an education non-profit, Digital Promise, before quitting to apply to grad school and dabbling graphic design for a year.
