A communication point is an interface to an external system. It is the mechanism by which Rhapsody sends and receives information to and from the external systems. Messages arrive at an Input communication point and are processed by filters and conditional connectors on the route, and passed to one or more Output communication points. From there, the messages are sent to the receiving applications. The method of communication is defined by the type of communication point used.
