Data Accessed & Handled

To provide device management features like SMS reply, call logging, and notification mirroring, ADB Device Manager requires local access to specific data types on your Android device. The data is processed in real time to draw interface items on your PC screen.

Contacts

Accesses names and contact photos to identify notification senders and incoming callers.

SMS Messages

Accesses message text and metadata to display conversations and dispatch replies from the desktop app.

Call Logs

Reads call history to display dial logs and intercepts active calling states for desktop popups.

Notifications

Intercepts notification alerts (app title, text, icon) to mirror them instantly to the Windows workspace.

Files & Storage

Accesses storage to read and write folders during manual file drag-and-drop transfers.

Device Info

Reads serial numbers, battery health, and OS versions to correctly link and identify target hardware profiles.

Permissions & Why They Are Needed

The companion Android app requests standard Android system permissions. Revoking these permissions disables their corresponding feature but does not prevent you from using the rest of the application.

Data Storage, Uploads & Sharing

We believe in absolute data minimization. Our data handling rules are simple:

No Remote Storage None of your personal data is saved to cloud servers or databases. It remains entirely on your devices.
No Remote Uploads No files, SMS database copies, or screen feeds are ever uploaded. All processing is kept local.
No Third-Party Sharing Since we do not collect or upload your information, it is impossible for us to share, license, or sell it to any third parties.
Volatile Temporary Memory Real-time packets like video buffers and notification lists are stored in volatile RAM. They are permanently erased the moment you disconnect or terminate the app.
Persistent Local Configs General settings (port numbers, paired device IDs, dark mode settings) are saved in local settings files on your PC disk. No personal database files are kept.

User Rights & Data Control

You have direct, absolute command over how the app interacts with your data:

Revoke Permissions You can manage or revoke any Android permission at any time through the system Settings panel.
Delete Local Preferences You can wipe all paired device configurations and options simply by clearing app data on your phone or deleting the preferences file on your PC.
Inspect Traffic You have the right to audit and verify that no uploads are happening. Step-by-step guides on network sniffing are detailed in our Transparency Report.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be amended to reflect modifications to Android permission frameworks or new local utility capabilities. We will post any updates here, maintaining version histories in the documentation. We encourage users to verify our commit logs in the official repository.
