Self-Help Products

Self-guiding information products

This menu option will give web site users access to self-help style information products. These products are designed to enable users to address some of the more common human resource issues: how to search for work; personnel administration for small employers; what mobile workers need to know; etc.

[Worksearch Logo]

WorkSearch This site is designed to guide Canadians looking for work, youth planning their careers, adults re-entering the workforce, and employed persons contemplating a career or work change through all aspects of the work search process. It can be used to locate work listings throughout Canada; explore learning and training opportunities; assess personal interests and values related to work; explore self-employment as an option; and find out about Employment Insurance, other income sources and community support services.

[Work Destinations Logo] Work Destinations  The Work Destinations site is designed for Canadian residents who want to practice their trade or profession in another province or territory. This site offers occupation-specific information on work conditions; placement and recruitment; labour market information; local living conditions and social services; and training and education opportunities.

[CR Center Logo]

The Counsellor Resource Center  This site is designed to help career and employment counsellors in their practice. The Resource Centre provides access to a number of useful areas that will help improve the quality of service you offer your clients. The site's architecture covers four primary search areas: Helping Yourself, Helping Clients, Helping Each Other, and Helping for the Future.

[HROE Logo]

The Human Resource Office for Employers (HROE)  This free site developed by the government of Canada
contains information designed to help employers manage the human resource side of their businesses.  The Human Resource Office for Employers contains information for all the provinces and territories. All of these sites, however, are still growing, so check back frequently to receive updated information.
