September may have been a difficult month, but there are further problems for the Labour leadership on the horizon:

On Thursday the Danish are due to vote on joining the euro. The 'no' campaign is strong, and looks set to win. This could hinder Labour's plans for a vote on the euro in the next Parliament.

Aiming to settle scores, former minister Geoffrey Robinson is set to publish his book, The Unconventional Minister, in October. He will tell all about his loan to Peter Mandelson.


Millennium Dome


The falling leves of autumn may spell the end for Dome minister Lord Falconer. The National Audit Office report into the ailing attraction is due, and Falconer will be in the spotlight.


Fuel crisis deadline


The 60 day deadline given to Labour to cut fuel tax is up in mid-November. Hauliers and farmers have promised further protests if no measures are taken, and the signs are that the public is right behind them.
