My Current Workout Split
Currently, I am trying to bulk to increase overall muscle mass and strength. For all of these days, I do as many neutral and wide grip pull-ups as I can.
- Day 1: Legs- Quad Focused
- Day 2: Back
- Day 3: Legs- Glute Focused
- Day 4: Chest
- Day 5: Legs- Heavy sets
My Fitness Essentials
Calling all people with low grip strength and/or sweaty hands!! This one is for you. I bought the Gymreapers straps from Amazon, and it has changed how I train in the gym. Pull ups and deadlifting became easier as I could getter a better hold of the bars. Whenever I do my deadlift one rep max, I always use straps to ensure that I don't drop the barbell.
Hip thrusts will begin to hurt and cause bruising as you go heavier in weight. I bought the Power Guidance Hip Thrust Pad in black from Amazon and it has been my favorite purchase yet. I have been able to comfortably lift the weight when using this and I refuse to do hip thrusts without this. You can use a sweatshirt as a substitute, but it might not provide as much cushioning.
Leg day would not be leg day if I wasn't wearing my beloved Converse. They allow for full mobility because they are flat on the bottoms, you have better balance - these are the perfect shoes for destroying legs!
Supplements I use
When I am low on energy, I know that a scoop of C4 will do me right. I find that after taking pre-workout, I am more focused in the gym, and I have more energy. Use pre-workout with caution so that you do not build a tolerance or dependence.
For protein powder, I have recently been using Orgain's Organic Protein Powder. The flavor is chocolate and smooth and I love to mix it with oat milk for the complete vegan smoothie (I'm not vegan, but I like to be sometimes).
