Easy answer: "it depends" <g>
Seriously, it does depend on what your stats are now (ie what other
equipment do you have?)
Do you already have decent AC (wearing bronze, steel or lambent?)
Do you already have good MR? (Have runed bone fork, other MR stuff?)
Does it matter? Do you fight casters alot? Bandits, etc? Or do you mainly
fight bugs & beasts?
Can you have both and switch as you need to?
