If a ranger or druid snares a mob and then you decide to chain it for
whatever reason, the chain song being last in will strip or break or
over-ride the snare. Same for root. The same goes for the darkness spell -
but there my SK cousin yells at me because it canceled also the hp degrade
effects too. Darkness degrades hp and slows target.

Can you give more clarification on what you mean here? Did you intend to say
Chain breaks root versus snare? Also, what do you mean by breaking darkness
line DOTs. Never heard that one mentioned before.
