MetaBro is a social networking app for men. We collect only what we need to run your account, deliver messages, and connect you with your Bro-hoods. We never sell your data.

1. Who we are

MetaBro is published by Mike Valasek ("we", "us", "our"). Our contact email is mvalasek77@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

We collect and process the following categories of data:

• Account information — your chosen handle (e.g. @ironbro), display name, and avatar image.
• User-generated content — posts, comments, messages, event details, marketplace listings, and bug reports you create within the app.
• Community membership — which Bro-hoods you join or moderate, friend connections, and group memberships.
• Interaction data — votes, reactions, awards, saved posts, view history, and report/block/mute actions.
• Calendar data — only when you explicitly export an event; we request calendar access solely for writing events, never reading.
• Push notification token — used to deliver notifications about messages, friend requests, and community activity.
• Device diagnostics — when you opt in via the bug report tool: device model, OS version, app version, and recent log excerpts (never message or post content).

3. How we use it

We use your data to:

• Create and maintain your account.
• Display your posts, comments, and messages to other users.
• Deliver push notifications you've opted into.
• Moderate content and enforce community guidelines.
• Improve app stability using anonymized crash and diagnostic data.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Sharing & disclosure

We share data only in these circumstances:

• With other users — your handle, display name, avatar, posts, comments, and reactions are visible to other MetaBro users per the app's privacy settings.
• With service providers — hosting, push notification delivery (Apple Push Notification service), and crash reporting infrastructure.
• When required by law — if compelled by a valid legal process.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

5. Data storage & retention

Your data is stored on secure servers. We retain your account data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Cached images and content are stored locally on your device using the standard iOS URL cache (up to 200 MB on disk). You can clear this at any time through iOS Settings.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — view your profile, posts, messages, and history within the app.
• Correct your data — edit your display name and handle.
• Delete your data — sign out and request account deletion by contacting us.
• Block & mute — control who can interact with you.

7. Children's privacy

MetaBro is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of MetaBro after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
