By using MetaBro, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use MetaBro. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. Certain Bro-hoods marked as mature require an additional age confirmation (18+).

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Your handle must follow our naming rules: lowercase letters, digits, and underscores, starting with a letter, 3–20 characters. You may not impersonate another person or entity.

3. User-generated content

You retain ownership of content you create (posts, comments, messages, listings). By posting content on MetaBro, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service.

You may delete your content at any time. Deleted content is removed from the app, though cached copies on other users' devices may persist until their cache clears.

4. Community guidelines

MetaBro is built on mutual respect. You agree not to:

• Post spam, scams, or misleading content.
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users.
• Post hateful content targeting individuals or groups.
• Share violent, dangerous, or illegal content.
• Spread misinformation or impersonate others.
• Post content that sexualizes minors.
• Manipulate votes, reactions, or awards.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.

5. Moderation & enforcement

MetaBro employs a multi-layer moderation system:

• User tools — report, block, and mute controls on every post, comment, profile, and message.
• Automated filters — keyword-based spam detection flags content for human review.
• Community moderators — Bro-hood moderators can approve, remove, pin, lock, or ban within their communities.

We may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms or community guidelines, at our discretion.

6. Intellectual property

MetaBro, its logo, design, and codebase are the property of Mike Valasek. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app or its branding without permission. User-generated content remains the property of its creator, subject to the license granted in section 3.

7. Bro-ket (marketplace)

The Bro-ket is a peer-to-peer listing board. MetaBro facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction. We are not responsible for the quality, legality, or safety of listed items. Contact between buyers and sellers occurs through in-app messaging; we never expose personal contact information.

8. Disclaimers

MetaBro is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MetaBro, including but not limited to loss of data, marketplace transactions, or interactions with other users.

10. Termination

You may stop using MetaBro and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your license to use the app ceases, and we may delete your data in accordance with our privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of MetaBro after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
