WRFDA Version 3.7.1: UPDATES

WRFDA Version 3.7.1 was released on August 14, 2015.

This is primarily a bug-fix release.
Updated features:

Bugs listed at the Known Problems page have been fixed. These bugs include the following:

A problem with the new "use_radar_rqv" option introduced in Version 3.7 (updated version is recommended)

Crashes and/or incorrect results for 4DVAR when assimilating radiance data with RTTOV with the option "rttov_emis_atlas_ir=1"

Other code improvements include:

Improvements to OBSPROC:
Fixing display problems for large numbers of observations

Avoiding problems with default observation error values

~~An incorrect interpolation of U and V in new CV7 BE option has been fixed (minor impact on results)~~
The above is an incomplete bug fix; the 3.7.1 release version still has a major bug for the CV7 BE option which will lead to incorrect results: see this page for a solution.

WRFPLUS (WRF adjoint and tangent linear model) has also been updated to V3.7.1.
