Known Problems and Fixes

WRFDA Version 3.8.1: UPDATES

WRFDA Version 3.8.1 was released on August 12, 2016.

This is primarily a bug-fix release.
Updated features:

Bugs listed at the Known Problems page have been fixed. These bugs include the following:

A fix for some BUFR compilation problems if user has certain environment variables set

A fix for crashes with 4DVAR assimilation when using RRTMG radiation physics

CRTM-specific code is now compiled automatically

Additional information about domain map parameters and minimization progress is now printed to log files

Other bug fixes and code improvements include:

Fixed compilation problems for Fujitsu compilers

Avoiding alarming (but harmless) error messages from GEN_BE stage 0
Fixing CRTM compilation problems for some Cray platforms
Cleaning up various log file outputs and clarifying some error messages
Fixed some incorrect default variables for certain physics options

WRFPLUS (WRF adjoint and tangent linear model) has also been updated to V3.8.1.
