Marine Applications

In Faymetrics we have developed a wide array of useful machines and products with various applications in the marine sector, allowing for easier and quicker access to data regarding the current condition of sea water, the level of pollution, as well as warnings regarding some extreme weather conditions

Our systems are installed in locations at proximity of ports to record the concentration and dispersion of pollutants.

The most common ones encountered are carbon dioxide (CO2), sulphur dioxide (SO₂) and particulate matter Faymetrics solutions integrate LIDAR, MAX-DOAS and cloud radar generated measurements data to provide accurate maritime emissions detection

Fluorescence LIDAR System

LIDAR system
Product Code: #EFFVG34
Price: 15.000$

Fluorescence lidar is a non-invasive, remote sensing technique that makes it possible to extend the application of the laser-induced fluorescence technique to the outdoor environment. Various sea and land accidents, impact of climate change, or even an outbreak of a biological warfare can cause disastrous economically, environmentally, and socially consequences. Since very few other compounds show this tendency, fluorescence is a strong indication of the presence of oil or a bio-particle in the water or air respectively.

MAX-DOAS Instrument for Measuring Atmospheric Pollution

The IMPACT imaging MAX-DOAS instrument
Product Code: #JHGFE45
Price: 12.000$

MAX-DOAS instruments are basically UV/visible spectrometers observing scattered sunlight in different viewing directions towards the sky. In the novel Imaging Mapper for Atmospheric Observations (IMPACT) developed at IUP-Bremen, a grating spectrometer equipped with a cooled 2-D CCD detector is used to measure visible light (425–490 nm).
