• From the Apple App Store app, install the SimplyE app.
• Once installed, open the SimplyE app.
  
• Tap Accept to agreee to the terms of Service
• To register you Library Card
  
  • Tap Settings > Library Card and enter your library card number and PIN.
  • Tap Login.

NOTE: You do not have to login to use the app until you want to borrow an e-book.

• Browsing the popular and avialable titles
  Tap the Catalog tab at the bottom. At any time you can tap the cover of the book to read a description about the book, download, checkout or place a hold on the book.
Browse Categories:
• Swipe from left to right on the book covers to view the popular and available for the respective category.
• Scroll up and down to view the different categories.
• Tap the category titles or More... to view sub categories or a list of all books in the respective category.
• Browse Category List:
  Scroll up and down to browse the list of books

• At the list level, Tap on Author to change the sort order.
• Tap Title to sort by Title or
• Tap Author to continue to sort by Author

• At the list level you can also filter the list by
  
  • Tapping All to change the attributes to filter on
  • Tap All or On Hold to filter accordingly.

• To search for a particular title
  
  • tap the Search icon in the Navigation bar in the upper right. Type the name of the author or title of the book. A list of books matching your search criteria will be displayed.
  • Scroll the list of results to find your book or refine your search.

You can borrow up to 24 ebooks. You have 14 days to read them. If you place a hold on the ebook, you have 3 days to Check out the book or Cancel the hold. The book will disappear after 3 days from your hold list.

• Find a book you would like to read.
• Books you can keep
  (Public Domain or Creative Commons Licenses books) will display only a Download button.
  Simply tap the Download button to download the book. The button will change to Delete or Read once downloaded. The Book will also show up in the list under the tab My Books with a Read and a Delete button.
• Books you can borrow
  These books display a Get or Reserve button.
  Simply tap Checkout to borrow the book if it is available. The book will download to your device. The button will change to Read once downloaded. The Book will also show up in the list under the tab My Books if you checked out the book. You have 14 days to read the book. If you placed a Hold on the book it will show up on under the Reservations tabs.
• Books you have reserved (Placed a Hold)
• Tap Reserve to be placed in a waiting queue for the book to become available. The book will also show up in Reservations tab. When the book becomes available the button will change to Check Out and you have 3 days to Check Out the e-books.
• Tap Get to download the book.
  The book will now show up in the list under the tab My Books. You have 14 days to read the book.

You have 14 Days to read a book borrowed from the library unless it is Public Domain or Creative Commons Licensing. Then you can hold on to the book as long as you like.

• Find a book you would like to read.
• Tap the Read to open and read the book.
• To turn the page, tap on the edges of the screen.
• To exit or navigate to a particular section
• tap the center of the screen to bring up the top menu bar.
• tap the My Books on the upper left to exit the book
• tap the button on the upper right of the top menu bar to bring up the TOC, then tap on the section or chapter you which to open.
• To change font type, size, constrast or brightness
• tap the center of the screen to bring up the top menu bar.
• tap the button (second from the right of the top bar menu).
• tap the appropriate control or selection from the options dipslayed.

Some eBooks have mbedded media such as video and audio along with text

• Find your book
• Tap the Read to open and read the book.
• To play audio
• tap the center of the screen to bring up the top menu bar.
• tap the button (second from the right of the top bar menu).
• tap the control to turn on or off the sound and the adjust the slide to control volume.
